Hello! My name is Victoria Lassen, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based out of New York City. I’ve been in practice for 3 years, and am a Fordham University alumni. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, I am conducting both in-person and virtual therapy sessions. I currently have a waitlist for new clients.
Therapy is a place where you are invited to reclaim or discover your true self. Loss and pain are fundamental human experiences that come in many forms, but they are not easy to process alone. In therapy, I can accompany you on your journey to understanding, healing, and embracing yourself in your truest form. My approach focuses on supporting you through building comfort with vulnerability and accountability. Together, we can identify what is not serving you and embrace what is.
I am trained to work with individuals and groups with anxiety, career counseling, depression, and stress. I am also trained to help teens, adults, and elders (65+) work through chronic pains, chronic illness, codependency, grief, infidelity, life transitions, relationship issues, spirituality, trauma and PTSD, and traumatic brain injury. I’m qualified to work with those diagnosed with cancer, people diagnosed with HIV/AIDS, individuals with Immune-disorders, those in open/non-mongamous relationships, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
Therapy will not always feel easy, but together we can develop the tools to feel more centered and in control of your life. As your therapist, I will help you to identify your individual goals and design a plan to best suit your needs. I use various modalities in my practice based on a person’s individual preference or needs including mindfulness and CBT.
If you are interested in working together please email or call me to schedule a free 15 minute consultation to see if we are a good fit.
Before your therapy visit, check your coverage with our Peace of Mind Calculator, which estimates how much you'll be reimbursed once you hit your deductible or out-of-pocket max.
Remember superbills, those long invoices you got from your therapist? How about claim forms? You don’t need either of those. We’ll handle your claims electronically and file them for free.
Check the status of your claims with our free Client Portal, which gives you a real-time window into the reimbursement process so you don’t have to worry if the check is in the mail.
We handle your mental health insurance electronically and file your claims for free. We also track the status of your claims and ensure they are processed correctly so you don’t have to worry about paperwork or making frustrating phone calls.
We work with your therapist to obtain all the information needed to file your claims. Then we file them electronically each week.
You only need to make sure we have your most updated insurance information. You don’t need to do anything else!
Nirvana has a free tool called the Peace of Mind Coverage Calculator, which estimates your reimbursement amount at the start of the calendar year, when your deductible has been met, and when your out-of-pocket maximum has been reached. You only need to enter the name of the therapist you’d like to see, along with your name, date of birth, and insurance information.
Once you have met your deductible, your reimbursement will be mailed to you about 4-6 weeks from the date of your first eligible claim. In some cases, this process can take as long as 90 days.
Your reimbursement will be mailed to the address on file with your therapist and your insurer. We recommend verifying your address directly with your insurer.
You will receive your reimbursement by check. Some insurers combine payments for multiple sessions and others send one check per session.
Yes! We offer a free product called the Client Portal, which allows you to do exactly that. You may be invited by your therapist, but you can independently register here. With the client portal, you can view the exact status of your claims and reimbursements.
We’re glad to answer any questions you have. Email us at help@meetnirvana.com and someone from our Help Desk will reach out to you.
