I am a Licensed Social Worker who specializes in mindfulness techniques for individuals with trauma-based anxiety and depression. Like most people, I came to the mental health field through my own lived experiences. Because of my passion and enthusiasm for mental health and yoga, I studied kinesiology and psychology. The same drive led me to earn my MSW in social work.
While studying theory, I became enamored with trauma work around somatic experiencing and trauma held in the body. I immersed myself in the works of Bessel Van Der Kolk and Peter Levine. In many cases of anxiety, depression, and interpersonal struggles, the root cause is unresolved trauma that lies in both verbal and non-verbal parts of the brain, so I incorporate mindfulness and breathing exercises during sessions.
I completed training around many different modalities and I've leaned more toward those techniques which help me feel connected to clients and help me establish a safe environment. I incorporate breath and mindfulness work because they’re wonderful tools; however, I also focuse on fostering an environment of compassion, empathy, non-judgement, and understanding.
I work with clients wanting to address a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, substance use, work stresses, and life transitions. I work with clients from all walks of life, and I welcome the opportunity to learn more about their unique background, experiences, and perspective. People are naturally healthy and vibrant. However, our access to that vibrancy can become blocked as we adjust to life's challenges. I work to help my clients gain clarity into how and why they have lost access to meaningful parts of themselves and move towards a life that feels more connected and alive.
I utilize an integrative approach blending listening, compassion, and support with actively offering ideas and strategies that will continue to be useful long after you have left my office. Drawing from my experience as a yoga instructor, I specialize in mindfulness techniques for individuals with trauma-based anxiety and depression.
It can be challenging and scary to reach out for support. I create an open and safe environment and am honored join clients on their wellness journey. I will support you to develop the emotional tools and self-awareness to enable and empower you to reach the destination you seek.

We handle your mental health insurance electronically and file your claims for free. We also track the status of your claims and ensure they are processed correctly so you don’t have to worry about paperwork or making frustrating phone calls.

You only need to make sure we have your most updated insurance information. You don’t need to do anything else!
Nirvana has a free tool called the Peace of Mind Coverage Calculator, which estimates your reimbursement amount at the start of the calendar year, when your deductible has been met, and when your out-of-pocket maximum has been reached. You only need to enter the name of the therapist you’d like to see, along with your name, date of birth, and insurance information.
Once you have met your deductible, your reimbursement will be mailed to you about 4-6 weeks from the date of your first eligible claim. In some cases, this process can take as long as 90 days.
Your reimbursement will be mailed to the address on file with your therapist and your insurer. We recommend verifying your address directly with your insurer.
You will receive your reimbursement by check. Some insurers combine payments for multiple sessions and others send one check per session.
Yes! We offer a free product called the Client Portal, which allows you to do exactly that. You may be invited by your therapist, but you can independently register here. With the client portal, you can view the exact status of your claims and reimbursements.
