Shelby Remillard, LMHC is an Indigenous (Laguna Pueblo) and Filipina therapist working with clients with histories of trauma, grief and loss, and building healthy relationships.
Shelby works collaboratively to build trust and understanding to create as safe and non-judgmental space ideally suited for clients to best examine all of life’s possibilities. Using skills drawing from motivational interviewing, parts work, and EMDR therapy, she works with clients to gain insight to their core needs and empower them to advocate for these needs.
Humor is important to Shelby and she incorporates it into her practice often. By using humor along with music, creativity, pop culture examples and storytelling, Shelby skillfully engages and inspires clients to consider their challenges or struggles from a new perspective. In her practice, Shelby places a lot of emphasis on social spheres, knowing that healthy connections with others is a vital component in the healing process. Her goal is to help clients find their inner strength and to empower them to manifest their most desired life.
When she is not working, Shelby enjoys a sweaty spin class or a gentle yoga flow, catching up on reality tv with her cat, Hazel, and spending time connecting to her important relationships. Shelby acknowledges that therapy may seem like the most intimidating step in the process. She believes that through sharing a safe, supportive space together, you will cultivate courage, invite enthusiasm, and reach your highest imaginable peaks in life.

Nirvana has a free tool called the Peace of Mind Coverage Calculator, which estimates your reimbursement amount at the start of the calendar year, when your deductible has been met, and when your out-of-pocket maximum has been reached. You only need to enter the name of the therapist you’d like to see, along with your name, date of birth, and insurance information.
Once you have met your deductible, your reimbursement will be mailed to you about 4-6 weeks from the date of your first eligible claim. In some cases, this process can take as long as 90 days.
Your reimbursement will be mailed to the address on file with your therapist and your insurer. We recommend verifying your address directly with your insurer.
You will receive your reimbursement by check. Some insurers combine payments for multiple sessions and others send one check per session.
Yes! We offer a free product called the Client Portal, which allows you to do exactly that. You may be invited by your therapist, but you can independently register here. With the client portal, you can view the exact status of your claims and reimbursements.
