Hello! My name is Myosha Tane, and I am a Licensed Master Social Worker based out of Brooklyn, New York. I’ve been in practice for 3 Years, and am an alumni of The Silberman School of Social Work. I’ve also been certified by The Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute and The EMDR International Association. In order to keep us all safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, all therapy sessions will be held remotely as our offices have temporarily closed.
When working with me, you will have 45 minutes that are completely dedicated to you. I pride myself in curating a safe, honest, empathetic and trusting therapeutic relationship with my clients. I am passionate about the work that I do in helping clients establish and maintain safer and more appropriate boundaries within all of their relationship dynamics.
I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges and life transitions by using psychodynamic, person centered, trauma-based and relational therapeutic approaches. I’m also trained to help individuals and couples deal with alcohol use, coping skills, eating disorders, grief, oppositional defiance, racial identity, school issues, self-harming, sleep or insomnia, and spirituality.
I am qualified to work with preteens, teens, adults, and elders (65+). As well as, people with Black and African American or Hispanic and Latino backgrounds, those of the Jewish faith, individuals diagnosed with mood disorders, dissociative disorders, and personality disorders, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
In addition, I help clients develop a more cohesive sense of identity formation across multiple life stages. I am dedicated to assisting clients with navigating transitional life phases and mitigating, processing and learning to live with complex trauma.

Before your therapy visit, check your coverage with our Peace of Mind Calculator, which estimates how much you'll be reimbursed once you hit your deductible or out-of-pocket max.
Remember superbills, those long invoices you got from your therapist? How about claim forms? You don’t need either of those. We’ll handle your claims electronically and file them for free.
Check the status of your claims with our free Client Portal, which gives you a real-time window into the reimbursement process so you don’t have to worry if the check is in the mail.
We handle your mental health insurance electronically and file your claims for free. We also track the status of your claims and ensure they are processed correctly so you don’t have to worry about paperwork or making frustrating phone calls.
We work with your therapist to obtain all the information needed to file your claims. Then we file them electronically each week.
You only need to make sure we have your most updated insurance information. You don’t need to do anything else!
Nirvana has a free tool called the Peace of Mind Coverage Calculator, which estimates your reimbursement amount at the start of the calendar year, when your deductible has been met, and when your out-of-pocket maximum has been reached. You only need to enter the name of the therapist you’d like to see, along with your name, date of birth, and insurance information.
Once you have met your deductible, your reimbursement will be mailed to you about 4-6 weeks from the date of your first eligible claim. In some cases, this process can take as long as 90 days.
Your reimbursement will be mailed to the address on file with your therapist and your insurer. We recommend verifying your address directly with your insurer.
You will receive your reimbursement by check. Some insurers combine payments for multiple sessions and others send one check per session.
Yes! We offer a free product called the Client Portal, which allows you to do exactly that. You may be invited by your therapist, but you can independently register here. With the client portal, you can view the exact status of your claims and reimbursements.
