Hello! My name is Megan Campeau, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor based out of New York City. I am a New York University alumni, with certifications in LGBT Health, Social Service, and Education. I am also certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, I currently conduct both in-person and virtual therapy sessions.
Being a mental health counselor, I work primarily with millennials and college students. I specialize in those struggling with life transitions such as moving, beginning/ending relationships, and making career changes. I also assist those questioning their identity.
My goal is to help my clients accept themselves for who they are while increasing their self-esteem and self-love. I believe that each client is unique. My treatment with you will be tailored to your goals, preferences, and desired outcomes for therapy. I treat each of my clients with respect and provide an atmosphere full of safety and free of judgment.
My therapeutic approach incorporates different techniques including, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness Practices. I also hold an advanced certificate from NYU in LGBTQIA Health, Education, and Social Services.
I would love to talk with you about your needs, expectations, and hopes for your therapy experience and how we can work together to make it a positive one. If you are interested in working together, please email or call me to schedule a free 15 minute consultation to see if we are a good fit.
Costs for each therapy session are $185. I accept the following insurance plans: Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross, Blue Shield, BlueCross and BlueShield, BlueShield of Northeastern New York, Cigna and Evernorth, Empire BlueCross BlueShield, Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, GHI, Highmark BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York, Independent Health, Optum, Oscar Health, Oxford, UMR, and UnitedHealthcare UHC | UBH.
Before your therapy visit, check your coverage with our Peace of Mind Calculator, which estimates how much you'll be reimbursed once you hit your deductible or out-of-pocket max.
Remember superbills, those long invoices you got from your therapist? How about claim forms? You don’t need either of those. We’ll handle your claims electronically and file them for free.
Check the status of your claims with our free Client Portal, which gives you a real-time window into the reimbursement process so you don’t have to worry if the check is in the mail.
We handle your mental health insurance electronically and file your claims for free. We also track the status of your claims and ensure they are processed correctly so you don’t have to worry about paperwork or making frustrating phone calls.
We work with your therapist to obtain all the information needed to file your claims. Then we file them electronically each week.
You only need to make sure we have your most updated insurance information. You don’t need to do anything else!
Nirvana has a free tool called the Peace of Mind Coverage Calculator, which estimates your reimbursement amount at the start of the calendar year, when your deductible has been met, and when your out-of-pocket maximum has been reached. You only need to enter the name of the therapist you’d like to see, along with your name, date of birth, and insurance information.
Once you have met your deductible, your reimbursement will be mailed to you about 4-6 weeks from the date of your first eligible claim. In some cases, this process can take as long as 90 days.
Your reimbursement will be mailed to the address on file with your therapist and your insurer. We recommend verifying your address directly with your insurer.
You will receive your reimbursement by check. Some insurers combine payments for multiple sessions and others send one check per session.
Yes! We offer a free product called the Client Portal, which allows you to do exactly that. You may be invited by your therapist, but you can independently register here. With the client portal, you can view the exact status of your claims and reimbursements.
We’re glad to answer any questions you have. Email us at help@meetnirvana.com and someone from our Help Desk will reach out to you.
