Hello there! My name is Katheryn Felicetta and I am a Licensed Master Social Worker. Empowerment means something different to everyone, but what it means to me is two things: the act of finding strength and faith in oneself, and/or aiding others to do the same. Sometimes it is easy to forget how capable you are as an individual, all that you’ve already accomplished, and what can be in the future. It is important to not lose sight of that inner strength and capability. Reconnecting with that…that is empowerment.
My Philosophy can be boiled down to this quote: “You Are Allowed to Be Both a Masterpiece & a Work in Progress Simultaneously”-Sophia Bush. I believe that self-compassion and self-reflection are both equal keys to growth and healing. I work collaboratively with clients to support them in finding relief from challenging thought patterns, behaviors, and personal judgment. We are working together with this common goal in mind. I strive to support clients in practicing self-love and mindfulness so they can better recognize their potential and also find peace and healing in the process.
A session with me will vary depending on the person, but there are general similarities. You should keep in mind that progress is not always linear, and when there are hiccups in the path it becomes very easy to punish oneself or focus on the negative. Working closely with my clients to celebrate the victories, and to not ruminate on setbacks is essential, and one element that is similar among sessions. In my work I strive to find a middle path, as my belief is that each client is their own expert on their recovery. My approach is to make each session safe and respectful, while also challenging when needed. In the end, I am a facilitator of the client’s success, but that success is their own achievement.
Before your therapy visit, check your coverage with our Peace of Mind Calculator, which estimates how much you'll be reimbursed once you hit your deductible or out-of-pocket max.
Remember superbills, those long invoices you got from your therapist? How about claim forms? You don’t need either of those. We’ll handle your claims electronically and file them for free.
Check the status of your claims with our free Client Portal, which gives you a real-time window into the reimbursement process so you don’t have to worry if the check is in the mail.
We handle your mental health insurance electronically and file your claims for free. We also track the status of your claims and ensure they are processed correctly so you don’t have to worry about paperwork or making frustrating phone calls.
We work with your therapist to obtain all the information needed to file your claims. Then we file them electronically each week.
You only need to make sure we have your most updated insurance information. You don’t need to do anything else!
Nirvana has a free tool called the Peace of Mind Coverage Calculator, which estimates your reimbursement amount at the start of the calendar year, when your deductible has been met, and when your out-of-pocket maximum has been reached. You only need to enter the name of the therapist you’d like to see, along with your name, date of birth, and insurance information.
Once you have met your deductible, your reimbursement will be mailed to you about 4-6 weeks from the date of your first eligible claim. In some cases, this process can take as long as 90 days.
Your reimbursement will be mailed to the address on file with your therapist and your insurer. We recommend verifying your address directly with your insurer.
You will receive your reimbursement by check. Some insurers combine payments for multiple sessions and others send one check per session.
Yes! We offer a free product called the Client Portal, which allows you to do exactly that. You may be invited by your therapist, but you can independently register here. With the client portal, you can view the exact status of your claims and reimbursements.
We’re glad to answer any questions you have. Email us at help@meetnirvana.com and someone from our Help Desk will reach out to you.
