Hi! My name is Jennifer Kashani and I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with two main focuses: relationship and career success. I believe that when these two areas of our lives are given the attention they need, it opens us up to giving and receiving attention to all parts of our authentic Selves and achieving a balanced lifestyle. These are two quintessential and defining aspects of every human being, the thing that comforts us, supports us, loves us, and the thing that drives us and keeps our spark alive.
The essence of my work is to facilitate self-growth by identifying the root of symptoms (i.e., depression, anxiety, eating disorders, PTSD). It is very important that the root is identified and then addressing in order for treatment to be accurate and effective. If we go after the root cause of the problems we have a much better chance at gaining permanent change through ways of an altered lifestyle. I like to use a holistic and dynamic approach to helping oneself because we are complex humans, one size does not fit all, and there is usually never one reason behind a problem but rather a group of clustered causes that uniquely intertwine.
A 'great fit' and positive relationship between the therapist and patient is the best predictor of a successful therapy. I work hard to understand how I can best help you. The more you put in, the more you get out. From time to time, I will use our therapeutic relationship as a tool towards positive growth, always with the aim of further benefiting and accelerating your learning and personal advancement.
I am certified in psychoanalytic and cognitive-behavioral therapy which allows me to tailor treatments for your specific treatment goals. During our consultation, you will get an opportunity to see what it might feel like to work together.
Before your therapy visit, check your coverage with our Peace of Mind Calculator, which estimates how much you'll be reimbursed once you hit your deductible or out-of-pocket max.
Remember superbills, those long invoices you got from your therapist? How about claim forms? You don’t need either of those. We’ll handle your claims electronically and file them for free.
Check the status of your claims with our free Client Portal, which gives you a real-time window into the reimbursement process so you don’t have to worry if the check is in the mail.
We handle your mental health insurance electronically and file your claims for free. We also track the status of your claims and ensure they are processed correctly so you don’t have to worry about paperwork or making frustrating phone calls.
We work with your therapist to obtain all the information needed to file your claims. Then we file them electronically each week.
You only need to make sure we have your most updated insurance information. You don’t need to do anything else!
Nirvana has a free tool called the Peace of Mind Coverage Calculator, which estimates your reimbursement amount at the start of the calendar year, when your deductible has been met, and when your out-of-pocket maximum has been reached. You only need to enter the name of the therapist you’d like to see, along with your name, date of birth, and insurance information.
Once you have met your deductible, your reimbursement will be mailed to you about 4-6 weeks from the date of your first eligible claim. In some cases, this process can take as long as 90 days.
Your reimbursement will be mailed to the address on file with your therapist and your insurer. We recommend verifying your address directly with your insurer.
You will receive your reimbursement by check. Some insurers combine payments for multiple sessions and others send one check per session.
Yes! We offer a free product called the Client Portal, which allows you to do exactly that. You may be invited by your therapist, but you can independently register here. With the client portal, you can view the exact status of your claims and reimbursements.
We’re glad to answer any questions you have. Email us at help@meetnirvana.com and someone from our Help Desk will reach out to you.
