Hello! My name is Dr. Gary Brucato, and I am a Psychologist based out of New York City. I’ve been in practice for over 20 years, and am currently working out of Clarity Therapy NYC. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, I am conducting both in-person and virtual therapy sessions.
As a clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience, I provide psychotherapy for adolescents and adults to help clients find relief from unrelenting depression, anxiety, and grief. I am also trained to help people learn to better navigate relationship difficulties and create meaning in their lives. Through years of practice, I have seen first-hand the significant impacts that issues such as anxiety and depression can have on seemingly all aspects of an individual's life. I will work to be clear and communicative in laying out steps we can take together to help you work through these overwhelming challenges.
Additionally, I offer unique expertise in the treatment of newly-emerging unusual ideas or beliefs, and perceptual experiences which have begun to affect work, relationships or academic performance. My extensive work in such subjects has led me to co-authoring over 50 articles in peer-reviewed psychiatric journals. I have also contributed to two books on topics that span across the psychology field.

Nirvana has a free tool called the Peace of Mind Coverage Calculator, which estimates your reimbursement amount at the start of the calendar year, when your deductible has been met, and when your out-of-pocket maximum has been reached. You only need to enter the name of the therapist you’d like to see, along with your name, date of birth, and insurance information.
Once you have met your deductible, your reimbursement will be mailed to you about 4-6 weeks from the date of your first eligible claim. In some cases, this process can take as long as 90 days.
Your reimbursement will be mailed to the address on file with your therapist and your insurer. We recommend verifying your address directly with your insurer.
You will receive your reimbursement by check. Some insurers combine payments for multiple sessions and others send one check per session.
Yes! We offer a free product called the Client Portal, which allows you to do exactly that. You may be invited by your therapist, but you can independently register here. With the client portal, you can view the exact status of your claims and reimbursements.
