Hello! My name is Audrey Adams and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based out of Buffalo, New York.
There are many reasons why we choose to start therapy. Whether it be to work on our relationships, our work, or ourselves. The journey to untangle life’s complexities and discover your healing process is already within you. I wish to help you along this process by showing you the inner-strength that has always resided within you.
I specialize in working with individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, and trauma and PTSD. I am also qualified to help people with family conflict, life transitions, relationship issues, mood disorders, self esteem, stress, and living transgender.
As a therapist, I believe all humans have innate strength and resilience to create the change they are seeking. My approach to therapy is gentle, supportive and affirming. I use a trauma-informed and person-centered approach to help clients better understand how life experiences shape their present circumstances. Our ultimate goal working together is to build greater awareness and agency within. I have experience working with the blind, those diagnosed with HIV / AIDS, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and Black/Indegenous People Of Color (BIPOC).
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York State. I use various modalities in my practice based on a person’s individual preference or need. Some modalities I incorporate are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic and Relational theory, attachment-based, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.
If you feel like my approach and focus sounds like the experience you would like to gain from therapy, please feel free to reach out to me for a free 15 minute consultation. You may contact me via Email or phone number (716) 241-4037. I look forward to hearing from you in the near future!
Before your therapy visit, check your coverage with our Peace of Mind Calculator, which estimates how much you'll be reimbursed once you hit your deductible or out-of-pocket max.
Remember superbills, those long invoices you got from your therapist? How about claim forms? You don’t need either of those. We’ll handle your claims electronically and file them for free.
Check the status of your claims with our free Client Portal, which gives you a real-time window into the reimbursement process so you don’t have to worry if the check is in the mail.
We handle your mental health insurance electronically and file your claims for free. We also track the status of your claims and ensure they are processed correctly so you don’t have to worry about paperwork or making frustrating phone calls.
We work with your therapist to obtain all the information needed to file your claims. Then we file them electronically each week.
You only need to make sure we have your most updated insurance information. You don’t need to do anything else!
Nirvana has a free tool called the Peace of Mind Coverage Calculator, which estimates your reimbursement amount at the start of the calendar year, when your deductible has been met, and when your out-of-pocket maximum has been reached. You only need to enter the name of the therapist you’d like to see, along with your name, date of birth, and insurance information.
Once you have met your deductible, your reimbursement will be mailed to you about 4-6 weeks from the date of your first eligible claim. In some cases, this process can take as long as 90 days.
Your reimbursement will be mailed to the address on file with your therapist and your insurer. We recommend verifying your address directly with your insurer.
You will receive your reimbursement by check. Some insurers combine payments for multiple sessions and others send one check per session.
Yes! We offer a free product called the Client Portal, which allows you to do exactly that. You may be invited by your therapist, but you can independently register here. With the client portal, you can view the exact status of your claims and reimbursements.
We’re glad to answer any questions you have. Email us at help@meetnirvana.com and someone from our Help Desk will reach out to you.
