Hello! My name is Ariella Soffer and I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist based out of New York City. I’ve been in practice for 16 years, and I am an alumni from Fordham University’s School of Clinical Psychology.
As a psychologist, I provide psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapies to help people move beyond roadblocks towards personal growth. I also utilize additional therapies including: eclectic, integrative, interpersonal, Mindfulness-Based (MBCT), and psychodynamic. I see patients across their lifespan and particularly enjoy working with people who are looking to work collaboratively to gain a deeper understanding of themselves.
Through therapy we can address problematic behaviors, troubling emotions, maladaptive thought patterns and relationship issues. I specialize in working with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I can also assist those dealing with family conflict, grief, parenting, pregnancy, prenatal, postpartum, self esteem, and sports performance.
Having worked in college counseling centers for the past 15 years, I have helped many people through important transitions in their lives and welcome the opportunity to meet with you. I am trained to work with preteens, teens, adults, and members of the LGBTQI community.
Thinking about approaching your challenges can be scary, and looking for a therapist is a big step. I view the therapeutic relationship as the most important aspect of the work, and invite you to schedule a consultation so we can see if working together could be a good fit.
Costs for each session are on a sliding scale, and can be paid with American Express, Cash, Check, Mastercard, and Visa.
Before your therapy visit, check your coverage with our Peace of Mind Calculator, which estimates how much you'll be reimbursed once you hit your deductible or out-of-pocket max.
Remember superbills, those long invoices you got from your therapist? How about claim forms? You don’t need either of those. We’ll handle your claims electronically and file them for free.
Check the status of your claims with our free Client Portal, which gives you a real-time window into the reimbursement process so you don’t have to worry if the check is in the mail.
We handle your mental health insurance electronically and file your claims for free. We also track the status of your claims and ensure they are processed correctly so you don’t have to worry about paperwork or making frustrating phone calls.
We work with your therapist to obtain all the information needed to file your claims. Then we file them electronically each week.
You only need to make sure we have your most updated insurance information. You don’t need to do anything else!
Nirvana has a free tool called the Peace of Mind Coverage Calculator, which estimates your reimbursement amount at the start of the calendar year, when your deductible has been met, and when your out-of-pocket maximum has been reached. You only need to enter the name of the therapist you’d like to see, along with your name, date of birth, and insurance information.
Once you have met your deductible, your reimbursement will be mailed to you about 4-6 weeks from the date of your first eligible claim. In some cases, this process can take as long as 90 days.
Your reimbursement will be mailed to the address on file with your therapist and your insurer. We recommend verifying your address directly with your insurer.
You will receive your reimbursement by check. Some insurers combine payments for multiple sessions and others send one check per session.
Yes! We offer a free product called the Client Portal, which allows you to do exactly that. You may be invited by your therapist, but you can independently register here. With the client portal, you can view the exact status of your claims and reimbursements.
We’re glad to answer any questions you have. Email us at help@meetnirvana.com and someone from our Help Desk will reach out to you.
